PDC Players Championship
Nigel Oldfield Sports Promotions worked with the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) last year by promoting two Players Championship events with over £40,000 in prize money. NOSP were responsible for all event management and promotion for both tournaments which included ticket sales, sourcing the venue, sponsorship of the tournaments, P.R., marketing & advertising.
The tournaments were part of the PDC Pro Tour and hosted the world’s top players such as Phil ‘the power’ Taylor and James ‘the machine’ Wade as well as local boys Mark ‘flash’ Dudbridge and Steve ‘the bomber’ Brown.
Both events were a huge success with tickets completely selling out weeks before the events were staged. Due to the demand for the sport in the city this will hopefully pave the way for future darts events in Bristol and the south west region with NOSP looking to play an active role in securing these new events given the success of these first two tournaments.
